About the artist
Hi, i’m aislynn!
I am a Midwest based narrative based illustrator who specializes in comics and graphic novels. I am currently completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration with an emphasis in comics, and am set to graduate in May of 2026. Outside of comics, I specialize in concept art and fantasy illustration. I am currently working to complete might first graphic novel, as well as expanding my concept art portfolio by designing characters for existing IPs. I mainly work with digital programs such as Clip Studio Paint, Photoshop, and Procreate. However, I am also experienced in some traditional mediums such as charcoal, pencil, and ink. I also have a basic understanding of the 3D modeling program, ZBrush and am working to do more with 3D models.
Outside of my artistic endeavors, I have a love for Aviation which has been the foundation of my 15 year history working in Aviation. I started as an Air Traffic Controller for the US Army when I was 18. I spent my enlistment stationed in Germany and served in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. When I left the service, I was hired by the Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Controller and spent 10 years working at towers and approach controls around the US. Eventually I decided to settle in the Midwest, and chase my dream of going to art school. After my first year of my BFA program, I hit a turning point in my life where realized my job and school were too demanding for me to do simultaneously. So I eventually made the decision to leave federal employment to focus on my future as an artist. I was able to secure a position in an adjacent field as FAA Contract Weather Observer; a job that gives me the flexibility to focus on my artistic endeavors, while still allowing me to work in the field I love.
I hope that if you are reading this you enjoy my passion for the artistic process, and my love of sequential art.
